Adının verildiği müzenin sergi binası önünde Otto Herman. Miskolc'da okumaya başlayan Herman (1835-1914), ailevi nedenlerle üniversiteyi bitiremedi. Bir polimat olarak kendi kendini eğiterek herşeyle ilgilendi, kuşlar, örümcekler ve balıkçılık dahil 14 kitap yazdı. Kuşlarla ilgili kitabının adı: Kuşların fayda ve zararları. Etnografi ve arkeoloji ile de ilgilendi, politikaya atıldı. 1891'de hukukçu Barsony'nin evinin inşaatında bulunan 3 taşın (afişteki onlardan biri) yontma taş devrinden kaldığını gösterdi. As a polymath, he learned almost everything by teaching himself, wrote 14 books, including birds, spiders and fishing. Name of the book about birds: Benefits and harms of the birds. He was aldı interested in ethnography and archeology and started politics. In 1891, three old stones (one of them on the banner) were found at the construction of Barsony's house, Herman detected that they were from paleolithic age. That house is now a high school.
