Vincenc Morstadt (1802 - 1875), Alman kökenli bir ailedendi. Hukukçu olarak mahkemelerinde çalıştığı yerlerin resimlerini yaptı. Manzara resimlerine orta sınıfı yani şehir halkını, zanaatkarları ve tüccarları dahil etti. Habsburg döneminde Çeklerde geleneksel 'Stände' sınıfsal hiyerarşisi korunmuştu. Kast sistemine benzer ancak geçişin biraz mümkün olduğu bu sistemde en üstte din adamları, asiller ve savaşçılar, orta sınıfta sanatçı, tüccar ve büyük toprak sahiplerinin yer aldığı (burjuvazi), altta ise köylüler yer alıyordu. Prag'da Morstadt'ın oturduğu Tomášská caddesi 24-25'deki evde bir büstü (2003, Jaroslav Hylas) yer alıyor.
Vincenc Morstadt (1802 - 1875) was of German origin. As a lawyer, he painted the places where he worked in their courts. He included the middle class, i.e. townsmen, artisans and merchants in his landscapes. During the Habsburg period, the traditional 'Stände' class hierarchy was maintained in the Czechs. It was similar to the caste system, but the transition was somewhat possible, with the clergy, nobles and warriors at the top, the bourgeoisie (artisans, merchants, landowners) in the middle class, and the peasants at the bottom. There is a bust (2003, Jaroslav Hylas) of Morstadt in the house where he lived on Tomášská street 24-25 in Prague.
