17.yy sonunda Osmanlı Macaristan'dan çekilince, Grek, Sırp, Bulgar, Arnavut ve Arumen tüccarlar buraya gelirler. Bunlardan biri de Miskolc'e İskopol'den gelen Arumen Nándor Máhr idi. Aile önce baharat sonra büyük mağazacılık yapar. Hırsızları haber veren kara köpeklerine atfen şirket adı 'kara köpek' (Fekete kutyához) olur (1756). Oğul Károly Mahr (1830–1888), 1881'de bu evi yaptırır. Barok binanın süslemelerde KM harfleri yer alıyor.
When the Ottoman Empire retreat from Hungary at the end of the 17th century, Greek, Serbian, Bulgarian, Albanian and Aromanian merchants came here. One of them was Aromanian Nándor Máhr, who came to Miskolc from Moscopole. Family first made spice trading and then a departmental store. The company name ‘black dog’ (Fekete kutyához), referred to a black dog who informed thieves once (1756). The son Károly Mahr (1830–1888) built this house in 1881. KM letters are included in the decorations of the baroque building.
